Secret Love Song - Little Mix feat Jason Derulo

The other day I heard this song on the radio so I searched for it. I am so addicted to this song right now and it's such an emotional song. 

I'm such a softie when it comes to these type of heart wrenching songs. When I was younger, I used to cry when I listened to these songs. Somehow I managed to slip myself into the shoes of the person who can relate to this song. 

This is on my repeat at the moment <3 

Trial advent

One thing I like to do for people - small little gestures. I've been wanting to make an advent calendar for someone but I am not sure how people might take it. Christmas culture is not well known around here therefore I kept postponing the idea. 

Anyways I tried to make this advent calendar countdown thing for Simmy. I even extended it to 27 December in celebration of her birthday. In order to experiment, I searched for motivational quotes and put them together in a 25 boxes grid.

For the first day, I gave her a paper with 25 boxes with the following quotes to be opened daily for the next 25 days. On the last day, I gave her a 100 days planner for her to plan her upcoming year. Simmy and I usually talked about our fitness goals and I thought this would be perfect for her. 

 

This is my first lousy attempt at an advent calendar. Hopefully I'll be able to get more budget next time to make a nicer one next round.

I've been listening to Jay Chou on and off since 9 years ago but whenever I stray away from his songs, I'm always pulled back by a memory of an old song or something new that will latch on my heart and pulled me back. 

There were different difficult period in my life where Jay's music accompanied me and it marked that certain obstacles in life. 

 This time it's this song :- Ting ba ba de hua (聽爸爸的話) [Listen to father's words]



I'm so into that the chorus and that painful tone that Jay dragged out in the end, I'm so addicted. 

In fact, this song got me motivated to run faster instead of my regular fast beat songs. I'm a little Jay nut and I have a feeling I will always be running back to his music.

My blind date

I welcome the weekend with a book. Currently I'm reading two - a physical book at home and another on my Kindle but when I have the opportunity to stop by my favorite book store, I went. I love this book store not only for it's affordable prices but for the wide range of books and the excellent customer service. 

 However today I went because I had a mission - I want to try a blind date. 

A blind date with a book actually. I have so many books to read yet this mysterious concept attracted me to gamble and try my luck - just for the fun of it. 

How does this blind date work? 

First, browse through the wrapped books on display. They are located right in front of the store. 

Each book has few words of description on them so you will pick your book based on these few words. Literally can't judge the book by its cover. 

I knew I wouldn't like anything sci-fi or fantasy so it was important for me to be selective of my date. I also had to make sure it's not a book I already have because I would be so disappointed if it is so. I actually saw a book that describe exactly a book I already have. 

Then, take your date home.

In the end, I picked this up ... 

The words that attracted me most was time-travel because I have never read one with that theme. The other words basically gave it off as chic lit. I do like stories that does not have the typical family, boy meets girls type which is why books like Jane Green's Jemima J and Sophie Kinsella's Remember me? are my top favorites.

It has 4/5 stars and 92% liking rating so I have good feelings about this book. I really hope we get along!

Bibimbap

I'm not a foodie nor am I adventurous with food. I tend to order the same thing every time rather than taking risks because I don't want to not force myself to finish the food that I dislike. 

I was pushed to order "something else" by a friend and in that little spur of the moment, I went ahead and got something else than my regular food and guessed what? I didn't like it. 

Anyway, today I want to talk about bibimbap. I'm not a Korean food fan nor do I dine regularly at Korean restaurants but because I tried bibimbap in Ko Hyang for the first time and I fell in love with it. 

I don't usually order rice based meals when I'm out but I could not resist getting this when I'm at a Korean restaurant. The gravy, the mixture of dishes, the egg and the rice blended together created such a nice combination. 

I did try another non rice dish and it was horrible. I regretted my decision to order that dish instead of my usual bibimbap. It was a waste of money on my end and I just couldn't resist bibimbap (most of the time) when I go to Korean restaurants, which is not often. It's for the best cause I don't want to get sick of it. 

Maybe I should try the regular ones next time, I always get the one with the hot pot.
