New phone

After 3 years of serving me well, I decided to switch phone even though I predicted my Samsung to serve me for 5 years.

My poor phone was lagging so badly that it took about 20 seconds to open my whatsapp or to make a phone call. Battery life was also hanging on a thread. Under emergency situations, this could be disastrous. This was why I gave in and invested in a new phone. 

I used to buy my phone from Superbuy but now I buy them offline at Direct D. It took me about 2 hours to really decide and bought a mid range phone from Asus. I wanted to try another brand but remain Android. Besides my parents have been using Asus for a while now and so far, everything has been fantastic. 

My Samsung phone has not been abandoned totally. I still use it as my mp3 player and alarm clock to not overload my new phone. 

The annual shopping

Lately I've been spending on skin care items. When I was younger, I couldn't be bothered to do anything more than to wash my face but I think lately with Karyn's influence, I began to pay attention to my skin a little more. 

My haul for this round :- 

I spent about 1/2 hour in Sephora just to pick out a lip color. I was actually looking for a nudish color but decided I was too pale to put on nude so I had to settle for pink instead. Also picked up the eyeshadow I've been eying the whole year. 

Visited the Innisfree shop for the first time and instantly became a member - just because I like their masks. I don't like dripping soggy masks and Innisfree masks are just perfect for me. I picked up Karyn's green tea cream (not pictured). I was also checking out the Jeju Volcanic Pore Mask but I ended up picking that big brown bottle even though I had a jar coming from Korea. 

Sister bought two body mists as well - both in berry flavor since she like them so much. Upon signing up, I got a welcome pack as well with 3 little samples inside. I also picked up a bottle of Vaseline for my chapped lips. 

That's it for my little shopping haul. Hopefully these will come into good use.

Building the blocks

The other day I got a little surprise parcel at work. Actually, I was expecting a parcel but I didn't know exactly what I'm getting. 

I had this silly smile on my face when I saw it. Then I started building it. 

Looks like a battle ship.. jeng jeng jeng .. 

What could it be? 

London bridge! 

Completed within 4 nights of distribution work. I love working creatively with my hands but the problem is finding somewhere worthy to display it. 

However I loved this little project and I loved the little work surprise :D

I just wanted to join in the fun and poured out the content of my bag.

These are what I have in my bag - March edition. Content of bag might change throughout the year.

Kindle - my books are lightweight and easy to carry within one device. This keeps me busy should I need to wait for the train or anywhere else.

Glasses case - I always bring my glasses along just in case I need to remove my lens.

Satinique Hi Gloss Serum - I almost never used this but it's nice to know I have this to manage my lion mane in the wind. I usually squirt a little and rubbed it to my hair. 

Dettol hand sanitizer - this is a new addition and I used it regularly after touching things in public.

Frozz mint - for emergency purposes whenever I have onion breath and need to talk to people

Contact lens case - home for my lens. I always carry along in case my eyes gets dry and I want to remove the lens.

Comb - just because. duh.

Hair clip - my favorite type of clip. perfect for hot sweaty days and self protection.

Lip ice lip balm - for dry lips but does not provide enough moisture. Since I already have it, might as well finish it... *long wait*

Pilot pen - a pen for emergency.

Tony Moly petite bunny gloss - brother bought this for me during his Korea trip. This dries my lips a little but I love the color and how it stays on even after meal. 

Skin Food Eggplant Pen Eyeliner - sometimes I like to apply eyeliner to my bottom lashes but I hardly do nowadays - still carry it around. 

Sephora's Body Spray Mango Scent - I bought this because this is my girls were buying them too. I also like how thin the spray is - fits in my bag like a pen. 

The only thing missing in my bag are my earphones which are essential whenever I want to listen to music. 

That's it in my bag for this month. I kept switching bags depending on the amount of other items I have to bring along.

The Trium purchase

Clothes shopping was not my priority back then but lately I have began to understand why girls like shopping. Last year during my birthday, I was purchasing something from Kitschen and I was introduced to the Trium Card. 

Since it was my birthday month, I received 100 points. From then on, every piece of clothing I bought from Nichii, Kitschen or Dressing Paula added up my points. There's no card - it uses an app. I registered at the counter using the iPad. 

Last month I finally accumulated up to 500 points which in turn converted into a RM 50 voucher. I totally forgot about it until I received a reminder email and sms this morning that my voucher is expiring tomorrow. One month redemption. Crap. I totally forgot. 

After work I rushed to the mall to find something to purchase. I tried tops and dresses but I didn't feel it. I mean, right after Chinese New Year haul, I was not in the rush to buy any clothes. I was rushing for time against the traffic and rain. 

After 1/2 hour, I tried on a pair of pants and I was surprised at how comfortable it was. This was one of my wanted item but not in a urgent manner. I finally found one that I totally like. I squat and jump in them and I totally fell in love!

The pants cost me RM 80 so I had to fork out the additional RM 30 which I really don't mind. Time to slowly accumulate my points again!

Oh by the way, in order to redeem your voucher you need to create your PIN number beforehand as it is needed when you make your purchase. I did mine online this morning before I went.
